Soccer Recap: Pacheco Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pacheco walked away with it. They came out on top against the Pioneer Patriots by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Patriots are ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pacheco hit Pioneer with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samuel Pinal, Juan Lopez, Sebastian Galindo, and Jesse Gonzalez.

Pacheco is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those seven contests. Pioneer now has a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Pacheco will take on Vista del Lago at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vista del Lago will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pacheco surely won't give up without a fight. Pioneer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
