Softball Recap: Agua Dulce Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Agua Dulce, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Port Aransas Marlins on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Marlins: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Emily Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audrey Luera, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Agua Dulce's record now sits at 6-9. As for Port Aransas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Agua Dulce is set to face off against their familiar foe Skidmore-Tynan at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Port Aransas will take on rival Refugio at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
