Basketball Recap: Germantown Christian Takes a Loss

Germantown Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Milford Christian, falling 43-22. The Conquerors were down 34-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Germantown Christian still got an impressive performance from Grace Smith, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. That was a full 81.8% of Germantown Christian's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Kroger, who scored no points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Germantown Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Germantown Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milford Christian, they will challenge Hillsboro Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hillsboro Christian Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Milford Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
