Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Guilford Vikings vs. Grimsley Whirlies

Northwest Guilford hasn't had much luck against Grimsley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Northwest Guilford Vikings will head out to challenge the Grimsley Whirlies at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Northwest Guilford came up short against Western Guilford and fell 55-45. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Grimsley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 58-54 to Rocky River.

Grimsley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Northwest Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Northwest Guilford skirted past Grimsley 57-55 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest Guilford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
