The Bear Lake Bears will head out to face off against the Preston Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.

Bear Lake gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over American Falls. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Lindsay Fisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madi Michel was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyten Crockett, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Preston got the win against Marsh Valley on Wednesday by a conclusive 14-4. Considering the Indians have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bear Lake's record now sits at 10-3. As for Preston, their record is now 10-0.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Bear Lake hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Preston struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Bear Lake came up short against Preston in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 14-9. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
