Softball Preview: Mt. Carmel Golden Aces vs. Richland County Tigers

Mt. Carmel has gone 8-2 against Richland County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Golden Aces will square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Mt. Carmel is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Monday, Mt. Carmel made easy work of Paris and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Golden Aces have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyla Keepes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Keepes was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Evie Sellers was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI.
