Mt. Carmel has gone 8-2 against Richland County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Golden Aces will square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Mt. Carmel is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
On Monday, Mt. Carmel made easy work of Paris and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Golden Aces have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyla Keepes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Keepes was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Evie Sellers was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Leah Lewis, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
Mt. Carmel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paris only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Richland County came up short against Newton on Monday, falling 14-3. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Miranda Dowty was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Mt. Carmel pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Richland County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Richland County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mt. Carmel has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Richland County, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Mt. Carmel's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Mt. Carmel was able to grind out a solid win over Richland County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 12-8. Do the Golden Aces have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
