Mt. Pleasant waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the San Jose Bulldogs with a sharp 26-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Michael Blanco and Isaac Salcido made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Blanco pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Salcido pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Blanco got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI, while Salcido went 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most runs Blanco has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Mt. Pleasant got a massive performance out of Victor Cantabrana, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs. With that strong performance, Cantabrana is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Jackson Feaster also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mt. Pleasant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Jose only posted a batting average of .154.

Mt. Pleasant's record is now 14-8. As for San Jose, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
