Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Geneva Eagles

The Lakeside Dragons will head out to challenge the Geneva Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Lakeside will face Geneva after dropping another heartbreaker against South on Saturday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 3.1 of beating them. Lakeside was dealt a 79-43 loss at the hands of South. The match marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Geneva came up short against Riverside on Monday and fell 64-54. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Beavers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Geneva's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Lakeside was taken down by Geneva 90-61 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Lakeside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
