Football Recap: Clifton Central Skates Past Momence with Ease + How To Watch

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Clifton Central on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Momence Momence Athletics out of the water with a 48-8 final score. With the Comets ahead 28-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Clifton Central was led to victory by Brady Shule and Kaden Neveu. Shule threw for 241 yards and six TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, while Neveu picked up 130 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Neveu didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended one pass.

Momence's loss came despite strong showings from Phyllip Draine and Dakota Lewke. Draine picked up 59 receiving yards and one score, while Lewke rushed for 63 yards.
