Volleyball Recap: Whitwell's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Whitwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Sale Creek Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Whitwell's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Sale Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Whitwell is set to challenge their familiar foe Bledsoe County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sale Creek will take on rival Marion County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
