Baseball Game Preview: Carter Lions vs. Eisenhower Eagles

For the second straight game, Carter will face off against Eisenhower. The Lions will host the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Carter has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Eisenhower will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Monday, Carter came up short against Eisenhower and fell 10-5.

For Eisenhower's part, they got a great performance from Denzel Sahagun as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Sahagun has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joshua Aguilar, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Eisenhower's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Alex Chocoza was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Eisenhower now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Carter, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
