While Oakland's win against Freedom wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Oakland Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Freedom Falcons on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

When it comes to explaining why Freedom lost, don't look at Donovan Vidal. Despite the final result, he had 11 digs and four assists. Allen Martinez also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Oakland's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Oakland has already played their next match (against Balboa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Freedom, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Antioch on the 11th.
