Basketball Recap: Chatham Central Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Chatham Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-33 win over the Ascend Leadership Aviators. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bears had established a 36-point advantage.

Ascend Leadership lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Teon Davis, who posted eight points. Omar Rodriguez was another key player, putting up six points.

Ascend Leadership now has a losing record of 1-2.

Chatham Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-60 victory against Graham on the 21st. As for Ascend Leadership, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 78-43 loss against Hoke County on the 17th.
