Baseball Recap: Dover-Sherborn Wins Going Away Against Hopkinton

Dover-Sherborn was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hopkinton on Thursday. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Hillers. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 6-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Matt Bowen, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dover-Sherborn is 4-1 when Bowen posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Forman, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

The victory got Dover-Sherborn back to even at 6-6. As for Hopkinton, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

When Dover-Sherborn and Hopkinton next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Raiders will square off against Dedham and their three-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hopkinton will try to stop Medway's four-game winning streak when they meet at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
