Baseball Recap: Ames Takes a Loss

Ames fell victim to Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Little Cyclones in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Ames' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ames will venture away from home to square off against Mason City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Little Cyclones are facing the Mohawks at the right time seeing as the Mohawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Dowling Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
