Volleyball Recap: Calallen Wildcats vs. Flour Bluff Hornets

Calallen had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flour Bluff Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Calallen started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Taylor Paredez and Jadyn Lindgren, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Martinez and her 28 assists. Paredez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
