Baseball Game Preview: Rayne Wolves vs. Catholic - N.I. Panthers

For the second straight game, Rayne will face off against Catholic - N.I.. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rayne is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Catholic - N.I. just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 11-4 to the Panthers.

Rylan Fontenot was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Peyton Daigle also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Catholic - N.I., bringing their record up to 19-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Rayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-9.
