Baseball Recap: Penns Valley Area Comes Up Short

Penns Valley Area extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-12 in the process. They came up short against the Clearfield Bison, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Clearfield, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-6 record. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Clearfield's part, Noah Wriglesworth was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was Wriglesworth's first of the season. Kam Kushner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penns Valley Area will challenge Hollidaysburg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clearfield, they will square off against DuBois at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
