Soccer Recap: Long Comes Up Short

If Long was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Highland Home on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels came up short against the Providence Christian Eagles on Tuesday, falling 9-0. Long haven't had much luck with Providence Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Long's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Providence Christian, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Long is set to challenge their familiar foe Barbour County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Providence Christian will face off against rival Northside Methodist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
