Softball Recap: Cookeville Cavaliers vs. Lebanon Blue Devils

Cookeville took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Lebanon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Blue Devils on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavaliers have posted since March 23, 2024.

Ella Dudney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off 12 hits. Dudney was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Kadie Presley was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
