Basketball Recap: Crest Triumphs

Crest hadn't done well against Erie recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Crest Lancers walked away with a 48-38 win over the Erie Red Devils. This was payback for the Lancers, who suffered a 45-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Loss or not, Erie got some senior leadership from Reid Duff and Jaden Daniels. Duff posted 12 points along with five assists and four steals, while Daniels went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points and eight rebounds. Michael Richenburg was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Crest and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Erie, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Crest will head out to face off against Humboldt on Thursday. As for Erie, they will host West Elk on Thursday.
