With a playoff win on the line, Owensboro rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-7 victory over the Grayson County Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won eight in a row.

Evan Hampton was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of DaMarcus Ganaway Jr, who threw for 109 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Owensboro didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Grayson County to a completion percentage of just 46.7%. The team can thank Kingston Dillard for the heroic effort on defense: he. Owensboro wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 88.9%.
