Basketball Recap: Coleville Comes Up Short

Coleville lost against Mineral County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coleville Wolves were beaten by the Mineral County Serpents 73-26. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Coleville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kegan Armold posted 16 points.

Mineral County was led to victory by Aspin Stockwell and Jaeden Majano. Stockwell put up 20 points, while Majano almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Stockwell a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramiro Lalonde, who had eight points and four steals.

Coleville's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Mineral County, they pushed their record up to 12-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coleville has already played their next match, a 74-21 defeat against Virginia City on the 7th. As for Mineral County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-49 loss against Sage Ridge on the 5th.
