Davis faced Layton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Darts who were credited with the victory. The Davis Darts got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Layton Lancers' one. Davis haven't had any issues with Layton recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Davis' victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Layton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Davis will be playing in front of their home fans against Weber at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weber's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
