Basketball Recap: Milan Falls Despite Big Games from Mya Pauley and Marian Dabney

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Wildcats on Friday. The Milan Wildcats took a hard 55-37 fall against the Montgomery County Wildcats. The game marked Milan's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Milan had strong showings from Marian Dabney, who posted 16 points, and Mya Pauley, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points and eight boards. That was a full 43.2% of Milan's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Montgomery County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Milan has already played their next contest, a 63-40 victory against Schuyler County on the 11th. Montgomery County has also already played their next matchup (against Mark Twain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
