Basketball Recap: Parsons Takes a Loss

Parsons entered their matchup against Field Kindley on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Parsons Vikings fell 75-63 to the Field Kindley Golden Tornado. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Tornado from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Parsons' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1. As for Field Kindley, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parsons will challenge Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Parsons' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Field Kindley, they will take on Chanute at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
