Volleyball Game Preview: Brother Rice Crusaders vs. Reavis Rams

The Brother Rice Crusaders will take on the Reavis Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brother Rice is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Shepard by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Brother Rice easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brother Rice to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryne Collins, who had 11 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Oliver McNichols, who had 19 assists.

Meanwhile, Reavis entered their tilt with Berwyn/Cicero Morton on Tuesday with 20 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 21. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs.

Reavis easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18.

Brother Rice's victory bumped their record up to 30-7. As for Reavis, they pushed their record up to 30-2 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.
