Baseball Recap: Bridgeton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pleasantville on Tuesday, Bridgeton came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 9-8 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greyhounds earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Bridgeton's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pleasantville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bridgeton will head out to challenge Gateway Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Pleasantville, they will venture away from home to take on Penns Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
