Basketball Recap: St. Clairsville Comes Up Short

If St. Clairsville was riding high fresh off their 51-22 takedown of Brooke last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Clairsville Red Devils were dealt a 49-11 loss at the hands of the Barnesville Shamrocks on Thursday. The game marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barnesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Loudin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Loudin a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Madelynn Tyson, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points.

St. Clairsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Barnesville, their record is now 9-10.

St. Clairsville has already played their next contest (against Shadyside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Barnesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-45 loss against Linsly on the 3rd.
