Hickory Flat was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Strayhorn Mustangs, falling 17-7. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Rebels' highest-scoring contest to date.

Parker Ford and Sam Rakestraw stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ford scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Rakestraw scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That hit marked the first that Ford got this season. Nick Talley was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Hickory Flat's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Strayhorn, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
