Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeland Panthers vs. Heritage Generals

Ridgeland is 1-9 against Heritage since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Ridgeland Panthers will head out to square off against the Heritage Generals at 5:30 p.m. Ridgeland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Ridgeland fell victim to Heritage and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The victory (which was Heritage's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Ridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
