Sierra Vista typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Centennial proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mountain Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

The victory didn't come easy: Sierra Vista scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 29-27, 25-22.

Lincoln Larson paced Centennial's offense, picking up 12 kills. Larson got some help from RJ Regalado and his 30 assists.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season. As for Sierra Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-16.

Centennial and Sierra Vista are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bulldogs will face off against Arbor View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aggies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sierra Vista, they will square off against Palo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mountain Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
