Basketball Game Preview: Scott Central Rebels vs. Forest Bearcats + Official Tickets

Scott Central is 1-9 against Forest since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Rebels will head out to challenge the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. Scott Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Scott Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Clarkdale 44-17 on Thursday. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Scott Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Lyles, who posted seven points and four steals. Lyles has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Virtasia Shepard, who scored six points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Forest took on Newton on Friday. The Bearcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 51-29.

Forest's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Scott Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Scott Central couldn't quite finish off Forest when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 31-28. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
