Basketball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 39-29 to the Miller Grove Wolverines. If the Seminoles were looking for revenge after losing 46-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Arieyona Christion was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten steals for Miller Grove. Christion has become a key player for Miller Grove: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kamiya Moore, who posted eight points and seven steals.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Miller Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Salem will face off against South Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Salem is facing South Atlanta at the right time seeing as South Atlanta is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Miller Grove, they will host Drew Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
