Soccer Game Preview: Montgomery Central vs. T.W. Andrews

The Montgomery Central Timberwolves will head out on the road to challenge the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Montgomery Central will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.

Montgomery Central had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Lexington Senior on Monday. The Timberwolves blew past the Yellowjackets 9-0. The result was nothing new for Montgomery Central, who have now won 14 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Lexington Senior from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kevin Pulido led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, T.W. Andrews fell victim to Central Davidson and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 5-0 to the Spartans.

Montgomery Central's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for T.W. Andrews, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Montgomery Central took their victory against T.W. Andrews in their previous matchup on October 7th by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
