Volleyball Game Preview: Trinity Prep Crusaders vs. Tomales Braves + Official Tickets

The Trinity Prep Crusaders will head out on the road to square off against the Tomales Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Prep will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Trinity Prep hadn't beaten Rio Lindo Adventist on the road since October 15, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Crusaders narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spartans 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Trinity Prep got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 15-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tabitha Gunning, who had six digs and five aces. That's the most digs Gunning has posted over her last three contests. Lilanny Reyes- Mendoza was another key player, getting ten digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Tomales lost 3-0 to Laytonville on Thursday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Trinity Prep's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Tomales, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
