Basketball Recap: Aurora Central Takes a Loss

Aurora Central played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Rangeview Raiders 86-14. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-12.

Alejandro (Alex) Flores was Aurora Central's leading scorer, having posted six points. Alex-Maxwell Mbra held things down on the boards with three rebounds.

Rangeview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ladavian King out in front who went 7 of 8 on his way to 17 points and four steals. The game was King's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Black-Knox, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points along with six steals and five assists.

Aurora Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Rangeview, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Aurora Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-40 victory against Montbello on the 9th. As for Rangeview, they will welcome Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rangeview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
