Basketball Recap: Tadarius Wade's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Spring over Westfield

Spring played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Westfield Mustangs, falling 64-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-51 back in January.

Spring's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tadarius Wade, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Pittman, who had eight points and seven boards.

Spring now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Westfield, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-12-1.

Coming up, Spring will challenge Benjamin Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westfield, they will face off against Dekaney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Dekaney likes a good challenge.
