It was a good run, but Archbishop Carroll unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the IMG Academy Gray Ascenders.

Archbishop Carroll lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Daniel Pazo, who posted ten points along with six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Gillete, who earned ten points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Archbishop Carroll smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Archbishop Carroll's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for IMG Academy Gray, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Archbishop Carroll has already played their next matchup, a 68-56 loss against Homestead on the 18th. As for IMG Academy Gray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-49 defeat against Key West on the 18th.
