Soccer Game Preview: Alta vs. Skyline

The Alta Hawks will challenge the Skyline Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Alta barely beat Viewmont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks' defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. Alta might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Skyline had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Vikings. That four-goal margin sets a new team best for Skyline this season.

Their offense was hitting Viewmont from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Daniel Gellner led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Alta, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything went Alta's way against Skyline in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Alta made off with a 5-1 win. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
