Soccer Recap: Veterans Memorial Comes Up Short

Veterans Memorial lost against Los Fresnos back in January of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Veterans Memorial Chargers lost 4-0 to the Los Fresnos Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Falcons are ranked 163rd).

Veterans Memorial now has a losing record at 4-5-2. As for Los Fresnos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Coming up, Veterans Memorial will venture away from home to challenge San Benito at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Veterans Memorial is facing San Benito at the right time seeing as San Benito is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Los Fresnos, they will be playing at home against Harlingen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
