Baseball Recap: Rocky Mount Comes Up Short

Rocky Mount managed to slip by Franklinton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Gryphons lost 7-1 to the Red Rams on Friday. The Gryphons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Rocky Mount saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Buck, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Rocky Mount's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Franklinton, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Coincidentally, Rocky Mount and Franklinton will both be playing Southern Nash the next time they take the field. The Gryphons will host the Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Red Rams will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th.
