Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-8 to the McDaniel Mountain Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Roughriders in their meetings with the Mountain Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Maximus Nebel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ezra Arp, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for McDaniel, they moved to 10-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Roosevelt had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
