Basketball Game Preview: Farrington Governors vs. Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles

The Farrington Governors will take on the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles in a tournament on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Farrington ended up a good deal behind University Laboratory School and lost 59-43.

Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley Christian lost to South Summit on the road by a 64-47 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 130th in California, while the Wildcats are ranked 41st in Utah).

Farrington will have to contain Matthew Ahern as he made an impact in Capistrano Valley Christian's last game. He went 7 of 14 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ahern, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points.

Farrington's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
