Dorchester stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Hampton with a sharp 65-39 win. Given Dorchester's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Hampton is ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, McCool Junction strolled past Exeter-Milligan/Friend with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-46. McCool Junction pushed the score to 54-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Exeter-Milligan/Friend cut but never quite recovered from.
McKenna Yates was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. Another player making a difference was Briann Stutzman, who scored nine points.
Dorchester has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for McCool Junction, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Dorchester might still be hurting after the 51-31 defeat they got from McCool Junction when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Yates, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
