Basketball Recap: South Fork Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

South Fork had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over the Jensen Beach Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-49 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Jensen Beach saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Vari Newson went 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. Lincoln Campo was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

South Fork is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Jensen Beach, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

South Fork is taking a road trip to square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jensen Beach, they will square off against Cardinal Newman at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Cardinal Newman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Jensen Beach likes a good challenge.
