Basketball Recap: Holdrege Comes Up Short

Holdrege was the 51-27 winner over Sandy Creek when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Holdrege Dusters fell to the Sandy Creek Cougars 52-46.

Holdrege's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Sandy Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Holdrege is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Gothenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandy Creek, they will be home for the holidays to greet Wilber-Clatonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sandy Creek is facing Wilber-Clatonia at the right time seeing as Wilber-Clatonia is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
