Basketball Recap: West Logan Christian Academy Comes Up Short

West Logan Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 56-35 to the Pipestem Christian Academy Panthers. The Warriors were down 49-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading Pipestem Christian Academy to victory were Enoch Gonderman and Silas Mattox. Gonderman dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds, while Mattox went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points. That's the most boards Gonderman has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Dove, who posted eight points.

West Logan Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Pipestem Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Logan Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Covenant at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pipestem Christian Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Mountain Mission at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
