First Coast won the last time they faced Sandalwood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buccaneers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saints, sneaking past 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Buccaneers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carmen Overstreet made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Baylee Williams was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

First Coast's record now sits at 6-9. As for Sandalwood, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-9.

First Coast didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Bishop Kenny on the 2nd. As for Sandalwood, they will face off against Mandarin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
