Baseball Recap: Milford Takes a Loss

Milford was the 10-4 winner over Covington when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Owls by a score of 8-7 on Friday.

Swish Washington made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Lucas Geisel, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Milford now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Covington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4-2.

While Milford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
